Overriding Inherited Policy Settings

 

If needed, you can customize a device's inherited policy settings for Antivirus via the Services tab of the device. This can be useful for testing purposes when analyzing endpoint issues with shields, or simply to have customization of the configuration for individual devices, without having to create another policy.

 

To override these settings, tick the Manually customize settings inherited from policy checkbox under Services > Antivirus (e.g. AVG Internet Security), then toggle the desired components on or off.

The number of devices for which you have customized service settings will be shown in the Assigned/Overrides column on the Policies page .

Clicking the Assigned/Overrides count link of a policy will bring you to the Assignments tab of the policy's Detail drawer, where you will be able to see which devices have their policy overridden and which don't.
