Migrating On-Premise Console to Cloud Console

This article provides instructions on how to migrate your On-Premise Console subscriptions and devices to Cloud Console. If you are considering the option to switch to Cloud Console, we also recommend consulting the Cloud vs. On-Premise Console article to help you make a decision that would suit your business needs the most.

  1. Creating a Cloud Console account: Go to cloudconsole.avg.com from your browser, select Log in for the first time, then navigate through the registration process (for detailed instructions, see Signing Up for Cloud Console).
  1. Migrating your subscription: Activate your existing subscription via the Subscriptions page of your new Cloud Console (see Activating Subscriptions for more information).
  1. Migrating your settings: At this time, there is unfortunately no method of exporting settings from the current console. Therefore, you must manually configure your policy settings to the cloud, taking note of the differences in the policy settings (improvements, additions, etc).
  2. Migrating devices: Download a setup package from the cloud console and run the installation over the top of the existing installation (no requirement to uninstall first). Once the installation is complete, reboot the device. The devices should be visible in the console's Devices section.   1. Reconfigure/enable update agents (if required): Set up your Update Agent by following instructions described in .
  2. Once all devices are removed, uninstall your old On-Premise Console.
