Configuring Privacy Settings in Local Client

This Article Applies to:

  • AVG AntiVirus Business Edition
  • AVG Internet Security Business Edition
  • AVG File Server Business Edition
  • AVG Email Server Business Edition

 

You can alter the personalization and data sharing settings of your AVG Business Antivirus client via the Personal Privacy section of the UI.

  1. In the local client UI, click Menu
  2. Navigate to Settings > General > Personal Privacy
  3. Choose which data you want to share with AVG by ticking or unticking the checkboxes next to the available options

Privacy Options

The privacy options are categorized in three groups:

  1. Improvements: 
    • Share suspicious file samples with AVG to improve the security of all AVG users (enabled by default)
    • Help improve this app and our other products by sharing app-usage data with us

If the local client is managed by AVG Business Cloud Console (version 8.64 or higher), you can also configure the above preferences remotely, via your console's policy settings (see Configuring Privacy Settings in Cloud Console for more information)

  1. Offers: 
    • Share app-usage data with AVG so we may offer you upgrades or our other products
    • Share app-usage data with AVG so we may offer you 3rd-party products
  2. Personalization:
    • Personalize the communications and product recommendations in this app (enabled by default)
